Chromify Trade Journal

In my final Graphic Communications course, we were tasked with creating a trade journal for any trade of our choosing in a perfect-bound style. I chose to do a cosmetology trade journal centered on stylists who specialize in vivid, color-treated hair.

I utilized bright, bold colors for each section of the trade journal, using a color bleed on the edge of each page to create a rainbow effect on the paper edge of the journal. I created realistic ads for the journal as well, using well-known hair and cosmetic brands such as Amika and Olaplex.
